WHY THIS EXISTS
It started as
a ridiculous conversation.
IWANNABERICH started with a simple question: what if you actually tried to become ridiculously rich, in public, and documented everything?
It started with a conversation with my brother-in-law.
He came up with a simple idea: what if there were a website where anyone could give a little money, and the money was simply allowed to accumulate while the experiment was documented?
It was just a conversation at first. Then I kept thinking about it and eventually decided to actually try it.
Why €1 billion?
Because it's a ridiculous amount of money.
THE REAL MOTIVATION
I wanted to see how far I could get building something of my own.
Maybe nowhere. Maybe €3. The point is to find out.
NO GRAND PROMISE
I'm not claiming I know how to become a billionaire.
I'm starting from €0, documenting the decisions, the failures, the lucky breaks and the things that actually work. If the experiment goes nowhere, that becomes part of the story too.
